Hello CVARC members, families, and guests!
It’s December, and we’ve made it through the year, and what a year it has been for CVARC:
- Welcomed 18 new members
- Held a Winter Field Day event
- Hosted two club building projects
- Continued the Spring Fling Rover Round Up
- Staged a very successful 2023 ARRL Field
- Conducted our first club SOTA event,
- Gathered for the annual club picnic
- Held two Technician, two General and one Extra licensing class
We had some excellent speakers at our monthly meetings and to top it all off, we are expecting a record turnout for our upcoming CVARC 2023 Holiday Party.
My past two years as CVARC President have been a wonderful experience. The club now has over 200 members! Thank you all. Each one of you helped make CVARC what it is today. As my term draws to a close, I need to thank the CVARC Board Members for their outstanding work, dedication to the club, guidance, and friendship. It has been a pleasure to serve as CVARC President. I will remain on the board as Vice President and look forward to all the new and exciting adventures 2024 will bring under the leadership of our new President, Daphne Vandervalk-KN6TXX. Daphne, I know you are going to do an outstanding job as CVARC President. Our next club meeting will be January 18th. Be sure to attend and welcome Daphne to her new role.
December 21st is the CVARC Holiday Party. I look forward to sharing a wonderful evening with you. Once again, it has been my pleasure to serve as President of such an active and dynamic club. I am looking forward to what 2024 holds in store for CVARC. I hope to hear you on the air!
