Project Materials Donated by the Estate of Hugh Bosma

The Conejo Valley Amateur Radio Club (CVARC) would like to thank Karrie Bosma, daughter of Hugh Bosma AE6YC/SK, for a significant donation of equipment that will contribute substantially to training projects and club member operations.

Hugh Bosma was well-known in the local amateur community for his outstanding commitment to  teaching, mentoring and community service. The club recognizes his contributions every year with the presentation of the Hugh Bosma Legacy Award. Since 2015, the Board of Directors has awarded it to a member who has made an outstanding contribution to the club and/or amateur radio during the year.

In keeping with Bosma’s commitment to amateur skill development, the recent donation will support projects to build test equipment, refurbish radios and engage in STEM outreach. Members of CVARC are encouraged to keep an eye out on the group forums for more details in the coming weeks.

CVARC is an ARRL-recognized Special Services Club that is active across the “ham” radio hobby including: morse code operations, monthly guest speakers, hands-on projects, on-air nets, license classes and training, publicity programs, digital and emergency communications. CVARC accepts donations as a 501(c)(3) non-profit. General inquiries should be directed to info@cvarc.org.
