HOLIDAY PARTY RAFFLE

Ken Larson  KJ6RZ

A big raffle will be held during the CVARC Holiday Party.  The raffle will occur at about 8:00pm.  Our Operations Chairman, Greg K7SDW, has been working hard for the last several months to acquire a really great set of raffle prizes for us.  The cost of the raffle tickets is $10 each. You can purchase raffle tickets from Greg by calling him at 805-498-0454. You can also purchase raffle tickets at the holiday party.

Here is what you could win:

GRAND PRIZE

The Grand Prize is a 2 meter portable radio station that is ideal for bringing along on a weekend outing, using on vacation, or setting up a communications post during any of our CVARC ARES public service events.  In a natural disaster, this great prize becomes a portable emergency radio station that can help you remain in contact with others during the crises.

The portable radio station consists of:

  1. A Yaesu FT-1500M Mobile 2 Meter FM Transceiver,
  2. Mic,
  3. Two 12 volt  7 AHr. batteries,
  4. A floating charger,
  5. All assembled in a rugged Pelican Box carrying case.

You do not need to be present at the CVARC Holiday Party to be eligible to win this prize.  If your raffle ticket is drawn, you win!

HOLIDAY PARTY PRIZES
To increase the fun and excitement at the CVARC Holiday Party, four "Holiday Party Prizes" will be given away.  You must be present at the party to be eligible to win one of these four prizes.  The four prizes are:

  1. Vertex Standard VX-150 Hand Held VHF FM Transceiver (S/N 2G511451).
  2. RIGrunner 4008 Anderson Power Pole Distribution System.
  3. Yaesu FT-1500 Mobile 2 Meter FM Transceiver
    (S/N 21300160).
  4. RIGblaster Plus Soundcard Interface Box

RED TAG PRIZE
Have you been saving your red ticket stubs from the monthly club meeting raffles?  Greg has.  Greg has saved all of the monthly raffle tickets that were put in the raffle drum.  During the party, Greg will put all those tickets back into the drum, give it a good spin, and have someone draw out a ticket.  Who ever holds that ticket stub will win a
Portable Battery Power System consisting of a 12 VDC  10 amp battery, good for 120 Watts and weighing just 7¼ pounds.  You do not have to be present at the party to be eligible to win.  If the person holding the winning ticket stub is not present, then the winning ticket number will be published in the January CVARC Newsletter so that the winner can claim the prize.
