Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we do not have access to the Community Room at the East County Sheriff’s Station and we have cancelled the October 11 VE session. It appears unlikely that we will have access to the room for the remainder of this year. Until we can resume in-person testing, please read the two links in the article below for instructions on how to take an on-line license exam.

The August 9^th VE session has been cancelled. We still do not have access to the Community Room at the East County Sheriff’s Station.  Other (outdoor) locations are not yet available and our first priority is to provide a safe environment for both examinees and VEs.

If you are interested in getting a license or an upgrade, you do have the option a taking a fully-remote exam. The program runs well and you should be able to get a license/upgrade in a timely manner. Because of the complexity of setting up these testing sessions, they do ask that only examinees who are consistently passing practice exams sign up for the remote exams. The FCC License Test (VE Session) scheduled for Sunday, June 14 at the Ventura County Sheriff’s East Valley facility has been cancelled. Understandably, with the current demands placed on the region’s law enforcement agencies, we have been unable to confirm access to or use of the facility. Also, given the challenges of COVID-19 requiring limited gatherings, protective items and proper distancing, additional time and planning is needed prior to conducting an exam session.
