The classes will be Saturday mornings from 8:00 A.M. to noon on January 8, 15, 22, and 29.
CVARC is pleased to be offering in-person amateur radio license exams once again beginning December 12th. Until further notice, the number of attendees will be limited, and all applicants must preregister. No walk-ins will be admitted.
Prevailing COVID protocols will be observed. Masks must be worn in the examination room and applicants will be asked to provide proof of vaccination. Please review this information about how to prepare for a license exam before attending a session.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we do not have access to the Community Room at the East County Sheriff’s Station and we have cancelled the October 11 VE session. It appears unlikely that we will have access to the room for the remainder of this year. Until we can resume in-person testing, please read the two links in the article below for instructions on how to take an on-line license exam.
The August 9th VE session has been cancelled. We still do not have access to the Community Room at the East County Sheriff’s Station. Other (outdoor) locations are not yet available and our first priority is to provide a safe environment for both examinees and VEs.
If you are interested in getting a license or an upgrade, you do have the option a taking a fully-remote exam. The program runs well and you should be able to get a license/upgrade in a timely manner. Because of the complexity of setting up these testing sessions, they do ask that only examinees who are consistently passing practice exams sign up for the remote exams. The FCC License Test (VE Session) scheduled for Sunday, June 14 at the Ventura County Sheriff’s East Valley facility has been cancelled. Understandably, with the current demands placed on the region’s law enforcement agencies, we have been unable to confirm access to or use of the facility. Also, given the challenges of COVID-19 requiring limited gatherings, protective items and proper distancing, additional time and planning is needed prior to conducting an exam session. We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience. The next regularly scheduled CVARC VE Session is set for Sunday, August 9. – Jeff-Reinhardt -AA6JR
