Hello CVARC members, families, and guests!
First off, a huge thank you to all those who participated in CVARC’s Field Day! Keith Elliott-W6KME and the Field Day Committee did a wonderful job with the planning and execution of the Field Day activities. Secondly, a thank you to the Sherwood Development Corp. for the use of Dicken’s Patch as our Field Day site once again. CVARC had an impressive 18 stations operating for the event (not a contest.) The score, so far, for the CVARC Field Day is 8,208 points! That’s a 3,000-point gain from last year.
Armen Wood-W6ADL led the way with 418 CW contacts! Followed by Rob Hanson-W6RH with 230 and Adrian Jarrett-K6KY with 219 contacts! Over 1,439 contacts were made! Awesome job everyone! If you are planning to aggregate your home scores with the Club’s, our club’s name is listed as CONEJO VALLEY ARC on the ARRL website.

The CVARC Newbie Net meets every Sunday night at 7:00 P.M. The Newbie Net is an opportunity for newer hams to get on the air and gain experience and confidence. More experienced hams or “Elmers” regularly check in and are available to answer questions and offer advice. All are welcome. We are always looking for net controllers. It is great practice and fun to be net control, so please sign up with Todd Kleopfer-KD6RCM at email@example.com. #hamharder. Todd and I would love to see every club member try being net control at least once. It’s fun, it’s easy and best of all you have a great time!
Hope to hear you on the air!
