Another CVARC Holiday Party is in the books. We had approximately 50 members and guests in attendance. Everyone seemed to have had a good time. The food was good, as always. I probably ate more than I should have… and I probably wasn’t the only one.
Congratulations to the Raffle winners! Jim Aguirre-KM6GUE won the Yaesu mobile Rig, and Joe Sprissler-AI6MW won the $350 DX Engineering gift card. And then there was the Hugh Bosma Legacy Award.
The Hugh Bosma Legacy Award has only been around for four years. Being that CVARC is such a large club, with so many very involved members, it wasn’t easy to choose a winner. Honestly, there are so many deserving candidates. This year’s winner, if you haven’t already heard, was (drum roll) ROB HANSON-W6RH! The award was presented by Bill Willcox-KF6JQO who noted Rob’s many years of service to the club, the numerous Board positions he’s held, his work on our annual Field Day event, his ACS service, and more. Thanks, Rob, and congratulations again.
Enjoy the last couple of weeks of 2018, and I hope to see you at our next Mini-Field Day & Picnic on January 26, to coincide with Winter Field Day.
